Connecting with New Guests

Virtual Workshop | Thursday, January 22, 2026 | 9:30AM-10:30AM PST

Join Kelly Byers, Global Connections Pastor for a one-hour virtual conversation on the simple ways North Coast Church connects with new guests every week. No matter the size of your church, the principles discussed in this session will leave you feeling equipped to navigate through your own church's assimilation process and determine what's working and what's not.

Topics discussed will include:

  • What does Connections at North Coast Church look like?

Making the Ask: What We Say (and How We Say It) Matters

Virtual Workshop | Thursday, March 5, 2026 | 10:00AM-11:30AM

Even small shifts in our wording can be the difference between someone stepping into leadership or quietly stepping away. Tone, timing, and phrasing can either open a door or unintentionally reinforce doubts. Our goal is to help people discover a ministry that fits how God has uniquely wired them—not just fill a role. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to communicate clearly and confidently so people can understand the role and consider it with a fresh perspective. You’ll leave with key principles, practical tools, and proven strategies to make the ask with clarity, conviction, and compassion.

“Access to hearing straight from Larry and his overall very vulnerable approach. North Coast in general and Larry in particular does a great job of presenting the philosophy behind the methods to empower leaders to effectively lead their churches. So many conferences have a 'do it like us if you want to be awesome' attitude, but your approach truly embraces 'planting the church that you want to go to ' by helping us understand the why without forcing the what down our throats. Thank you!”

Brian Pursley, Lakeside Community Church

“The access to Larry who has so much success, wisdom, and insight without the ego that normally accompanies those things.
