In this hands-on working lab, you'll map your recruiting and retention systems against your people's real calendars, diagnose where your funnel and your "back door" run on organizational convenience rather than member readiness, and rebuild both around the moments that actually move people. Whether you have 5 groups or 5000, you'll leave with a completed diagnostic and a 90-day plan sized to your church.

In this interactive, practitioner-led session, two of North Coast’s Executive Pastors, Eric Weight and Philip Byers, will facilitate an honest conversation about the principles and rhythms that help teams thrive. Together, we’ll explore the difference between leadership and management and discuss practical approaches to setting expectations, coaching staff, giving feedback, and navigating challenging conversations.

This is not a sit-and-get session. Through practical instruction, guided discussion, shared experiences, and collaborative problem-solving, you’ll learn alongside ministry leaders from a variety of roles and contexts. Whether you’re an experienced executive or leading staff for the first time, you’ll leave with greater clarity about when to lead and when to manage. You’ll also gain practical approaches for helping people do their best work while remaining healthy, engaged, and valued.
