Even small shifts in our wording can be the difference between someone stepping into leadership or quietly stepping away. Tone, timing, and phrasing can either open a door or unintentionally reinforce doubts. Our goal is to help people discover a ministry that fits how God has uniquely wired them—not just fill a role. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to communicate clearly and confidently so people can understand the role and consider it with a fresh perspective. You’ll leave with key principles, practical tools, and proven strategies to make the ask with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
Dave Enns
Pastor of Life Groups and Adult Ministries
Dave has been on staff at North Coast Church since 1990 and is the lead pastor of Life Groups. His passion since youth has been to create an environment for people to connect and experience life to the fullest. Dave oversees a team of 21 staff, 1,900 lay leaders and over 8,000 participants. It is through Dave’s leadership that North Coast remains well-known for maintaining over 90% adult participation in weekly home groups. Dave has a Bachelors Degree in Christian Education from Biola University, a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary, and has served as an adjunct professor at Biola University.
