Join us Monday evening as we kick off the North Coast Leadership Conference with a Women's Gathering. It will be an evening you don't want to miss, filled with good food, lots of laughs, Biblical encouragement, and a time of refreshment that will leave you equipped to lead no matter what role you serve in as a student, single woman, wife, mom, or leader in corporate America.

We’ve made it easy for you and your girlfriends to grab dinner the night of the Women’s Gathering. We’ll have 3 Food Trucks from 4PM-6PM serving up delicious food. Choose from Hangry Louies mouth watering burgers and fries, O’s Food Truck - serving up an all organic, grass-fed, wild caught menu with gluten free and vegan options available. Tacos El Camino will also be joining us to provide some So Cal flare with delicious tacos. Dinner is self-pay. North Coast will be providing beverages and dessert throughout the evening.

Equipping the Church for Grief and Trauma

Grief Specialist and author Anne-Marie Lockmyer will address the tsunami of grief we are experiencing and how your church can effectively respond. This eye-opening session will give you a new understanding of grief, trauma, and loss. You or your team will be empowered with a wealth of valuable resources, tools, and ideas to take back to your church, allowing you to create your own unique approach to ministering to the hurting in your church and community. This session runs from 10AM-12PM. Tickets are $39 and lunch is included.

BIO:

Anne-Marie Lockmyer is a grief specialist, certified in critical incident stress debriefing, a certified trauma-integrative practitioner, an 8-time award-winning author on grief, and founder of The Grief & Trauma Healing Network. Anne-Marie knows the pain and devastation of grief and loss as a widow herself. She offers life-changing grief healing retreats, crisis grief support for businesses, grief training for therapists and coaches, and works with people worldwide. Anne-Marie speaks on grief wherever she can, is passionate about advocating for and loving grievers, and being an educational catalyst for society on grief and loss.

Online Church isn’t going anywhere. Are we creating a future-forward strategy, or are we still trying to catch up? How do we measure and care for those that are connected online? We will be sharing our results from this past year and what we have learned while doing North Coast Church Online. We have had success and failures, and we hope you can learn from both. We look forward to having you participate in this conversation.

Parenting Triggers

An honest conversation about our most common triggers with our kids. Together we will not only pinpoint the recurring issues, but take it a step further and make a better plan. Let's figure out what we mean to say before we say something mean." In addition to the typical struggles, such as bedtime, dinnertime and screentime, we'll address some more confusing and elusive ministry-related struggles like Sunday morning stress and those times we find ourselves all poured out beyond the home and short-tempered within the home. This breakout session might hurt a little, but it's going to lead us (and our families) to healing.

Women's Ministry

Join Lyn Anderson, Women's Life Group Pastor, as she unpacks the lessons she learned creating Women's Ministries from scratch. You'll gain practical tools for launching with a small budget, no staff and how to build a tribe of volunteers and creative thinkers to help reimagine Women's Ministry. You'll also learn how to problem solve the pitfalls of Women's Ministry and identify the needs of women in your church and community to build a healthy and thriving ministry.

Understanding the Suicidal Mindset

It can be challenging to know how to help a depressed person, especially one that is suicidal. We can freeze or say something regrettable because we're not quite sure what to say. In this breakout we'll take time to understand hopelessness, learned helplessness and how they impact a suicidal person. We'll also introduce simple strategies that can help with almost any depressed or suicidal person.
